Next stop, Mexico!

Hey all,

So since moving back to the U.S.  can’t bear to sit still. Unfortunately I have much less time to go out and experience the world now, but that isn’t stoping me; sowing me down a bit, yes, but never enough to finish me off.

As I’ve given away in the title, my next trip will be to Mexico, specifically to Tepoztlan, a town south of Mexico City where te ancient traditions and indigenous culture is stll very much alive!

Picture Paris has Grown

So, you might be wondering what the heck happend to Picture Paris. No worries, Stranger in a strange strange land is just a different name for the same thing. I realized that Picture Paris no longer fit the contents of my Blog, as only about a third of it is about Paris, and now that I have moved back to Boston, even less will be about Paris.

So, as I travel the world, I will post all of my photos, musings, and fun facts here as always. (I just hope I am lucky enough to keep traveling!)

I also want to take this opportunity to say thank you to those who have followed me since the beginning, to those who told their friends about this blog, who reblogged my photos, who just happend upon me yesterday and decided to follow me. Thank you all so much. It wams my hear every time you like a photo, reblog, ask me a question, or just send me a nice note. I love you all, you keep me going when I’m stuck in a rut.

Thanks,

Cola

Journees

Hey all,

A while ago I posted about a web project I have started called Journees.

After my travels last year, I realized how much it teaches you, and how much you grow from traveling, travel is a form of education. It makes you so valuable as a person, a thinker, a worker, etc. A well traveld and educated person is an incredible asset. I hope to share this view with as many people as I can, and to give people the opportunity to travel and grow and learn for them selves.

Journees (someday) will be a resource guide to help people plan and fund their own trips based on a passion they have so that they might learn something through travel.

For mor information, please visit Journees.tumblr.com and let me know what you think.

Also, anyone who is interested in this project and feels they have something to contribute, please feel free to contact me!

Back to Boston

Well, that concludes the European tour for 2011. My time in europe has been truly amazing, and I know I will return some day. Paris has a hold on my heart I can’t break, nor would I ever want to, and I have a fondness for Berlin and London that I’m sure will turn into pasion later in life. Until I can return I have to say goodbye for now, which kills me, mais c’est la vie.

I know my traveling days are far from over, in 2012 I am studying in Mexico and Guyana, and I will be briefly returning to Paris for a visit to my home away from home and the love of my life.

Keep checking back for photos pf Mexico! I leave for Tepoztlan on January 6th, 2012. While there I will be studying the traditions and cultures of pre columbian Mexico. I will post my photos and some fun facts here as always, just for you!

I would like to share this photo set with you as my last 2011 european photoset. These photos are some of my favorite form my travels, not because of their composition, but because of their contents. These all are photos of typography that I find truly inspiring. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
